Commonwealth planners elect secretary general

The Commonwealth Association of Planners has elected Clive Harridge as its new secretary-general.

Harridge takes over from Cliff Hague, who stands down after four years in the post. Christine Platt remains president.

Harridge will perform the role while still working as a director with Entec UK Ltd. "I look forward to carrying forward the association's agenda which will focus on climate change, planning education, gender issues and the state of Commonwealth cities including rapid urbanisation," he said.
