Camden road upgrade set

The London Borough of Camden has unveiled plans to transform Camden Town's busiest junction.

The Britannia Junction proposals are part of the mayor of London's Better Streets initiative. The aim is to ease crossings for pedestrians at the junction on Camden High Street.

Other proposals include newly widened footways and the removal of railings, signs and posts.

"These proposals will make a real difference to the area, making it more vibrant, attractive and safer for residents and visitors," maintained the council's cabinet member for environment Sue Vincent.

The project is jointly funded by Transport for London, the council and Camden Town Unlimited.
