£52.1m - The operating costs of the corporate and central directorates of the Audit Commission. The organisation has been disbanded by the government. It is doing an impact assessment on its scrapping.

£5.7m - Pre-tax profit of GVA Grimley for the year ending 30 April 2010. Operating from 12 offices in the UK, the group's total turnover for the year was £129,500,000. In January the company signed a memorandum of understanding with newly launched US property consultant Cassidy Turley.

£1.2m - The estimated cost of a plan to expand a Gypsy and travellers' site in Yorkshire. East Riding of Yorkshire Council was awarded funding from the government to improve the site at Cottingham. The council says the extension to the site will help reduce unauthorised encampments.

£38,858.27 - How much the DCLG spent on the maintenance of pot plants from July 2004 to September 2010. Staff have now volunteered to look after the plants.

11,000 - The number of new homes planned for the Olympic Park. Five neighbourhoods are included in the plans by the Olympic Park Legacy Company.

1,000 - The number of objections received by Bradford City Council in response to plans for 300 homes in Menston. Barratt Homes has submitted plans and Taylor Wimpey is expected to lodge proposals soon.
