Wildlife on Site - What Can I Do About It? 1 July. Independent Consultants' Network. RTPI, London.

This afternoon event with the environmental planning and protection networks will hear presentations by consultants from Thomson Ecology on planning and design measures when protected or invasive species are found on a development site. Wales Planning Conference. 3 July. RTPI Cymru. Park Place, Cardiff.

This first conference for Wales will look at developments in the principality and debate key issues. Speakers include Welsh Assembly Government environment minister Jane Davidson and RTPI past president Jim Claydon. There will be workshops on housing, design for sustainability and regeneration and place-making. Cost: £90 + VAT; £50 for students, licentiates and retired members. The Role of Conservation in Regeneration. 8 July. RTPI East of England. Town Hall, King's Lynn.

This one-day conference will consider the role of conservation in the regeneration of towns and villages. Speakers include representatives from the DCMS, English Heritage and CABE, with case studies from Norfolk. A tour of King's Lynn will take place in the afternoon. Cost: £100 + VAT.
