Queen joins eco-town consortium

The Queen has joined a consortium to develop a 5,000 home eco-town near Nottingham.
According to today’s Guardian, The Crown Estate has joined up with the MOD and Newton Nottingham LLP to develop property owned by the three around the former RAF base at Newton near Billingham, Nottinghamshire.
The Prince of Wales’s Foundation for the Built Environment has been asked to advise on the scheme’s design and sustainability.
