Government proposes development plan reforms

Councils should no longer have to return to square one if their local development frameworks are found unsound, the DCLG has proposed.

Instead, local authorities will be able to go back to an "appropriate stage". The idea is mooted in a consultation on reform to LDF regulations published alongside the planning reform...
