Blears signals go-ahead for snow dome

The world's largest indoor ski slope has taken a step forward after communities secretary Hazel Blears said she was minded to approve the plans.

Blears agreed with the scheme's planning inquiry inspector that permission should be granted for the ski centre, holiday resort, railway station and 391 homes on a former quarry and cement...
