Bidwells
Introduction & Mission Statement
The Planning Team is a fast expanding part of Bidwells. The landmark projects that we have secured recently demonstrate the ambitious development continuing in the Eastern Region, and our five regional teams are in the best locations to make the most of the massive growth on the horizon. Our fast expansion will provide graduates with fantastic opportunities to be involved with highly experienced planners in one of the largest Planning Teams in the region, who are producing innovative, quality developments in an exciting and growing area.
Just recently we have worked on the large-scale redevelopment of Ipswich Waterfront, and secured seven separate planning applications on behalf of Norwich City Football Club. We are involved with projects on Cambridge Science Park, securing planning permission for the latest 80,000 sq ft addition to this world famous site. On one site in Norwich the Regional Team successfully proved that a planning permission first granted 35 years ago is still valid, providing a case based on extensive research. Our Cambridge Team even had an opportunity to have a bird's eye view of their extensive work when they were flown in a helicopter along with some of their clients to view some of the key sites around the area.
We also work with experts in other professional areas, including architects, surveyors, civil engineers, ecologists and archaeologists, who are often involved in planning projects.
Employment Opportunities
Our primary focus is working on major, large-scale residential, commercial, retail and mixed-use schemes on behalf of a wide portfolio of premium clients.
If you are passionate about planning, design or landscape, our Planning Division is the place for you. You too could soon be involved with Urban Design, Master Planning, Landscape Design, Planning Appraisals, Environmental Statements and Planning Applications.
Training and Career Development
We hold Investors in People recognition and appreciate that our single most important resource is the quality of our employees. We are therefore committed to ensuring that all employees are provided with appropriate training and development opportunities.
In particular, we recognise the importance of development with regards to graduate trainees. With a commitment to remaining a dominant force in the property marketplace, strong emphasis is placed on investing in the people of our future. Bidwells Graduate Development Programme (GDP) has been specially designed to support graduate trainees as they embark on their professional development. As a three year programme, the GDP offers a bespoke training programme to support trainees in expanding their personal and professional skills and developing towards full membership of the Royal Town Planning or Landscape Institute.
Employment Policies
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package and operate an equal opportunities policy. We will not discriminate on the grounds of sex, marital status, ethnic origin, religion, colour, nationality, disability or any other grounds of discrimination prohibited by legislation such as sexual orientation, age etc.
