Development Planning Partnership
Introduction
For more than 30 years DPP has been providing specialist planning and development services to the public and private sectors. We operate across the UK and Ireland from offices in Bedford, Belfast, Cardiff, Dublin, Glasgow, Leeds, London and Manchester. We are one of the UK's largest independent providers of planning consultancy services, working within all development sectors and on all types of project.
Our growth has been based on responding successfully to economic, social and legislative change. We are therefore well placed to meet clientsÕ objectives in the new planning era. DPP's professional chartered town planners manage all aspects of the largest and most complex planning proposals, as well as small scale projects for individual clients.
Our client portfolio is diverse and features some of the country's leading national businesses, including developers, house builders, utilities, landowners and public authorities. A large number of our clients have been using the firm for many years, which we believe reflects the quality and reliability of our services.
Employment opportunities
Due to the continuing growth of the firm, various employment opportunities arise for professional planners during the year across our eight offices. We are therefore always interested to hear from motivated and commercially minded professional planners, keen to work in a challenging and rewarding environment which offers excellent opportunities for career enhancement. We also welcome applications from those who have completed an RTPI accredited course at either undergraduate or post graduate level and are looking to work towards chartered membership of the RTPI.
Our projects range from site appraisals and small scale projects to large scale masterplanning and regeneration schemes. Project management is a key service we offer our clients which gives individuals good experience of working with other specialist consultants within the industry.
Training and career development
DPP's staff and their skills define the reputation of the firm. We therefore strive to attract and retain staff of the highest calibre and then equip them to perform to the best of their abilities. We encourage all our professionals to attend CPD conferences and workshops to promote awareness of new developments in the industry. We also hold a number of in-house workshops to communicate these changes across the firm. Planners joining us can expect to be involved in challenging work at all stages of the planning process therefore gaining valuable on-the-job learning and we are developing a programme of internal training for all levels of planner. Planners are given exceptional scope for professional development and individuals are rewarded with career progression based on merit. To aid this process we seek open dialogue between staff and line managers to ensure feedback is given continually and training needs are identified promptly.
Employment policies
All positions offer a competitive salary and benefits package. Benefits offered include 25 days annual holiday, car, pension, private health cover, life assurance, income protection insurance and a childcare voucher scheme for working parents. DPP is an equal opportunities employer and values diversity within its workforce.
