Clyde Gateway Urban Regeneration Company has appointed Ian Manson as its chief executive.
He will lead a project aiming to deliver 400,000m2 of business space, 21,000 jobs and 10,000 homes over the next two decades. Glasgow is hosting the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
After being involved with inner city regeneration in Birmingham in the early 1980s, Manson has worked at Glasgow City Council since 1991 as head of corporate policy and senior depute director of development and regeneration services.
He previously led the urban regeneration initiative in Monklands. He takes up his new post immediately.
