Public inquiry into alterations to Sunderland City Council

A public inquiry into alterations to Sunderland City Council's planning policy for its central area began last week. The proposed changes will provide a framework for regeneration organisation Sunderland Arc. Its plans include developing 1,000 apartments and offices on the derelict Vaux site. It has also proposed a city centre retail scheme at Holmeside and a leisure development at Stadium Park.
