Bristol sports club upgrade

Plans to upgrade a rundown sports club for schools and residents in south Bristol have been approved in principle by the city council's cabinet. The proposed £2.7 million investment would transform the former Imperial sports ground in Knowle and the neighbouring Manor Farm playing fields with improved playing pitches, an all-weather sports pitch, changing facilities and meeting and function rooms. The scheme will be delivered through a partnership between the council and a consortium of the City Academy Bristol and Clifton College Services.
