Armley demolision

Structurally unsound buildings in Armley, Leeds, are being demolished as part of a scheme to create a gateway to the area. The three maisonettes and garage courts on Mistress Lane are at a prominent site on the A647, which is at the heart of the West Leeds Gateway regeneration project. The 1.1ha site is to be developed as housing. A competition was held by Leeds City Council last year to stimulate design ideas. Details of the winning entry are to be unveiled when the site is offered for sale.
