Development approved to transform Leicester's waterside

A £60 million development to help transform Leicester's waterside and provide jobs has been approved by the city council. Westbridge Living's No 1 Westbridge development will comprise 354 luxury flats, shops, bars, restaurants, public squares and a riverside walkway. It will be built on Bath Lane alongside the River Soar on a site previously occupied by Merlin Dye Works. The scheme will be funded by the Royal Bank of Scotland and designed by architect Ian Simpson.
