Fyson on ... laudable global aims revealed at convention event

It was a bold idea to select "planning in one world" as the first theme of last week's RTPI Planning Convention. President Clive Harridge told delegates that planning has to be at the heart of the fight against global poverty, while Commonwealth Association of Planners president Cliff Hague suggested that it is inappropriate for planners to remain stuck in a purely national perspective.
