Wiltshire Council criticised

North Wiltshire District Council has been criticised for the way it handled a development in a conservation area. The local government ombudsman found that the council had failed to decide whether permission to demolish a shed included the demolition of a boundary wall. It also failed to record or notify a decision not to take enforcement action. The council was asked to pay £500 to the complainant and review its procedures.
