Residents asked what they think

Residents of Alnwick, Barnard Castle and Guisborough are to be asked what they think makes a market town attractive. Local people will also be asked how services contribute to the towns' distinctiveness as part of a project by One North East to assess their role in the regional economy. An initial report on market research surveys and focus groups held so far will be issued later this month. The project runs until next March and residents are invited to comment on their towns via www.distinctiveness.co.uk.
