Birmingham's Great Charles Street to be developed by HBF Properties

A £100 million scheme including offices, housing and public and private car parking at a site on Birmingham's Great Charles Street is to be developed by HBG Properties. The site was originally chosen for a coach station but was remarketed earlier this year. The project will also include a major refurbishment or replacement of the Great Charles Street footbridge to improve links to the city's Jewellery Quarter. HBG will work up proposals that include features to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Work is scheduled to start on site early next year.
