Oxford City Council to set up energy services company

Oxford City Council is to set up a renewable energy services company to provide residents and businesses with affordable green power. The move is part of the local authority's £1 million investment in environmental and social projects. These include a £14,000 energy saving campaign aimed at council tenants, two new officer posts to cover climate change and sustainability, funding for free cavity and loft insulation for residents and a sustainable buildings award to promote best practice.
