Deal to develop a mixed-used scheme in Peterborough city centre

A deal to develop a 60,000m2 mixed-used scheme in Peterborough city centre has been struck by the council with Hammerson and Morley Fund Management. The North Westgate project aims to enhance the city centre's retail offer by extending the Queensgate centre. It features a shopping street linking Queensgate to a 12,500m2 anchor store, 3,200 parking spaces and a bus interchange. A planning application will be submitted later this year.
