Plans for urban village approved by Cardiff County Council

Plans to create an urban village at a former paper mill have been approved by Cardiff County Council. The 28ha Ely Bridge Village is being developed by the Welsh Development Agency. It will provide around 900 homes, business and retail space and up to 400 jobs. A green corridor will be created on the Ely River, which runs alongside the site. Llewelyn Davies Yeang, which designed the masterplan, will draw up a code to ensure the site's sustainable development.
