Pioneering rail service launched in West Midlands

A pioneering rail service was launched in the West Midlands last week. The gas-powered Parry People Movers railcar will offer Stourbridge residents their first Sunday service on the local branch line since 1915. The scheme will complement the traditional rail service that runs throughout the rest of the week. The rail car uses around 25 per cent of the fuel of a normal train. The trial service is scheduled to run for a year.
