English Partnerships seeks developer

English Partnerships is looking for a developer to regenerate a redundant hospital site in Oxfordshire as a new community. The 40ha Fair Mile site in Cholsey, near Wallingford, is part of the agency's programme to bring 96 former hospital sites back into productive use. The aim is to convert a range of historic buildings and retain historic parkland at Fair Mile Hospital, which is being marketed with Celsea Place, a nearby parcel of land earmarked for housing. The site does not have planning permission but South Oxfordshire District Council has allocated it for mostly residential use. Shortlisted developers will be announced in April.
