North City Council chief executive appointed local government ombudsman

Norwich City Council chief executive Anne Seex has been appointed local government ombudsman for the north of England. She has worked at the authority for five years and in local government for more than 20 years. Seex was previously director of community services at Lancaster City Council and head of corporate strategy at Manchester City Council. She succeeds Pat Thomas, who is retiring after 20 years in the post.
