Solar energy projects set to receive funding

Fourteen new solar energy projects are set to receive funding of £1.35 million, energy minister Malcolm Wicks announced this week. The money will come from the solar photovoltaic grant programme, funded by the DTI and managed by the Energy Saving Trust. Projects to benefit include the London Transport Museum, East Thames Housing Group in Stratford, the Baytree Estate in Manchester, Henley Rise eco-homes in Rotherham and Mundella Community College in Leicester.
