Plans unveiled for major housing development in Derby

Plans for a major housing development on the south-eastern edge of Derby were unveiled last week. An outline application has been submitted to South Derbyshire District Council on behalf of a consortium of landowners seeking to build up to 1,058 homes, a school and shops at Boulton Moor, alongside the A6 Derby Spur Road. The application was prepared by consultancy Barton Willmore. Partner Ian Tant said that the site "has long been identified as one of the most sustainable locations for housing at the edge of the city".
