Transport strategy to be produced for Bishop's Stortford

A transport strategy for Bishop's Stortford will be produced by Steer Davies Gleave for East Hertfordshire District Council, Hertfordshire County Council and the Government Office for the East of England. The medieval market town, expected to be a major centre of growth over the next 15 years, is already experiencing traffic congestion and low levels of public transport use. The study aims to provide a transport strategy to sustain projected growth without harming the town's traditional identity. The project is due to be completed next January.
