Wilson opens scottish wind farm

Scotland's most powerful wind farm was opened by Scottish enterprise minister Allan Wilson this week. Rothes Windfarm at Cairn Uish near Elgin is the first approved by Scottish ministers through devolved powers under section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989. The 22 turbines will provide enough power to meet around 29 per cent of Moray's total demand for electricity.
