Construction industry experiences growth

The construction industry experienced growth in the first quarter of 2005 after government investment in school buildings, health facilities and social housing bolstered a weakness in infrastructure and private building, according to latest statistics. The Construction Industry Trade Survey, published by the Construction Confederation and the Construction Products Association this week, found that 66 per cent of surveyed contractors and 59 per cent of manufacturers expect to continue to increase output over the next 12 months.
