Major development in the forecourt of Victoria station

A major development in the forecourt of London's Victoria station was granted planning permission by Westminster City Council last week. The mixed-use scheme, by the Co-operative Insurance Society, will replace two buildings between Vauxhall Bridge Road and Wilton Road. It will comprise 9,820m2 of offices and 1,640m2 of shops. The proposal, designed by Sheppard Robson, chimes with the Victoria Station area brief and has also been approved by London mayor Ken Livingstone.
