Emergency services centre opens in Sandwell

An £18 million emergency services centre in Sandwell opened last month. The 382m2 two-storey centre at Sandwell Hospital was designed by Aedas and replaces a single-storey accident and emergency department that was destroyed by an arson attack in 2002. The development was delivered by construction team Interserve Health and funded by Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust.
