Bristol city quarter development

A mixed-used city quarter is set to be developed at a former brewery in Bristol after being approved by the city council. The 2.3ha Courage Brewery site on the southern bank of Bristol's floating harbour will be developed as 384 homes, office and leisure space, bars, restaurants, a microbrewery and shops. A harbourside walkway will also be built to give pedestrians priority. The plans, designed by Sheppard Robson, have been defined by the historic street patterns and listed buildings in the area. The first phase of construction will begin this autumn.
