MVA develops strategy

A strategy to improve access to employment and learning in Dorset has been developed by MVA for the Dorset Action for Rural Transport (DART) partnership. MVA was appointed in July 2004 by the partnership, which includes representatives from Dorset County Council, district councils, Jobcentre Plus and the Countryside Agency. The consultancy identified key travel needs and solutions to improve access to business parks, industrial estates, job centres and colleges in the county. Measures include introducing and expanding employer travel plans, improving public transport, expanding the Wheels to Work scooter scheme and better support for job seekers.
