RTPI Comment - If we do not value planning, who will?

Branch visits give presidents a privileged insight into the wide range of excellent planning activity currently taking place. What a pity that so much of it often lacks public recognition. There is also an opportunity for an in-depth appreciation of the circumstances surrounding controversial high-profile projects. Some conflict may be good for planning. It can raise the profile and highlight the significance of planning, hopefully without tarnishing its reputation.
