SRA to commission phase

The Strategic Rail Authority (SRA) is to commission the first phase of a study into future uses for Waterloo International station and the Eurostar train servicing depot at North Pole, west London. The facilities will be released after Eurostar's train services are transferred to St Pancras when the Channel Tunnel Rail Link is completed in 2007 and train servicing is transferred to a depot at Temple Mills, east London. The study is jointly sponsored by the Department for Transport and the SRA. Arup has been appointed to provide consultancy support.
