Handout aims to slow landfill growth

A potential cloud is hanging over a Cotswolds hamlet where actress Elizabeth Hurley has a country retreat. A waste company plans to enlarge a green and mixed organic waste composting plant just a few kilometres from the star's home.Free waste disposal cones will help reduce the amount of household rubbish generated in West Sussex. The green giveaway forms part of a council policy to reduce the amount of waste buried in landfill sites.
