Wolverhampton residents give revamp opinion

Wolverhampton residents and traders are being asked for their opinion of plans for a £4 million revamp of the city centre. The makeover, proposed by the city council, would improve the main shopping streets and pedestrian areas to create a more spacious environment with high-quality paving, lighting and street furniture. Bilston Street, Dudley Street, King Street, Queen Square, Queen Street and Woolpack Street will be the main areas covered by the scheme. Work is due to start later this year and expected to be completed by 2007. Comments can be made until 4 March.
