ERCDT form transport consultancy

A sustainable transport consultancy has been formed by members of the English Regions Cycling Development Team (ERCDT). The move follows the Department for Transport's decision to end its contract with AEA Technology in May. AEA currently employs a cycling development team to assess local authority cycling strategies in each region. The consultancy, Transport Initiatives, comprises nine out of 12 members of ERCDT and will offer services across a range of sustainable transport issues. It will initially concentrate on delivering the bulk of the remaining work under contract to AEA.
