Steer Davies Gleave to develop model

A strategic model to support Merseyside's local transport plan development will be developed by Steer Davies Gleave. The consultancy will use its dynamic urban model to demonstrate how the plan supports wider economic and spatial objectives for the region. It will simulate how transport interacts with people, businesses, land uses and employment across an area covering Merseyside and its commuter catchment across north Cheshire, Greater Manchester and Lancashire over periods of up to 20 years. The model will be implemented over the first three months of 2005.
