Casebook: Appeal cases - Agricultural Development - Outdoor riding arena accepted in countryside

Two appeals seeking retrospective permission to retain an outdoor riding arena, fencing and gallops on land in Hampshire have been allowed after an inspector agreed that they would not have an unacceptable impact on the character of the countryside. He imposed conditions restricting use of the facilities to non-commercial purposes and preventing the placing of loose boxes, caravans, jumps or field shelters without the prior written approval of the local planning authority. DCS No: 40592214; Inspector: Gerry Hollington; Written representations.
