Business briefs: Hyder Consulting is to conduct three studies ...

Hyder Consulting is to conduct three studies for what will be the world's tallest building. The company has been appointed by Emaar Properties to carry out an environmental impact assessment, a building reflectivity study and a visual impact report for the Burj Tower development in Dubai. The tower's height is being kept a secret but Emaar claims that it will beat the current record holder, Petronas Towers in Malaysia, which stands at 452m. It will house offices, hotels, residential units and leisure and recreation facilities.
