Business brief: Birmingham City Council appoints Urban Practitioners

Birmingham City Council, in partnership with New Frankley Parish Council, has appointed regeneration consultancy Urban Practitioners to lead a team to prepare a development strategy for the Frankley area of Birmingham. The team also includes property specialists CB Richard Ellis and transport consultants Alan Baxter & Associates. Frankley is an outer Birmingham suburb around 12km south-west of the city centre. The predominantly council-owned estate was built in the 1970s and is home to around 7,000 residents.
