Opinion: Fyson on ... interdependence of planning and housing policy

The interim household projections for England issued this month by the ODPM must come as a shock to those who would prefer to see housing provision constrained rather than build the houses required to give everyone a decent home. When they are added to the most recent demographic information, it is not surprising that the government is putting its weight behind a new emphasis on building more homes where the demand lies.
