In brief: RSPB produces own vision of Thames Gateway

The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) has produced its own vision of the Thames Gateway in which it challenges the government to ensure genuinely sustainable development that recognises and promotes the importance of the natural environment. The wildlife charity is calling for the protection of all important wildlife sites in the gateway, the creation and enhancement of accessible nature reserves and the minimisation of resource use and waste production in all new development. The Thames Gateway: World Class Community, World Class Economy, World Class Environment is available from the RSPB (tel) 01273 775333.
