In brief: Schemes compete for London Planning Awards

Chelsea Bridge Wharf, Paddington Central, Putney Wharf and the redevelopment of Walthamstow town centre will compete for the award for best planning built project at this year's London Planning Awards, it was announced this week. Other categories in the awards include best public sector planner or planning organisation, best private sector planner or planning organisation, best planning conceptual project contributing to London's future and best community or partnership initiative. There will also be a special mayor's award for best overall entry from any category. Winners will be announced on 30 November.
