Plans for a mixed-use development on surplus land at Stocksbridge Works near Sheffield have been put out to public consultation. The draft brief, prepared by consultancy GVA Grimley, will be open for comment until 27 September. It outlines proposals for manufacturing and distribution facilities, offices, housing, retail and leisure uses at the Corus Engineering Steels site. The steel company expects to gain consent before the end of the year as part of its restructuring programme.
