Regeneration News in Brief: Plans to redevelop the Liverpool International Garden Festival ...

Plans to redevelop the Liverpool International Garden Festival site are in the pipeline in a joint venture by developers Langtree and the David McLean Group. The 35ha site, which has just been acquired by Langtree, has become derelict since the festival took place in 1984. Talks are being held with Liverpool City Council on the project. Early ideas for the site include a parkland scheme, housing and leisure uses and the restoration of some of the gardens.
