In Brief: An on-call bus service operating in Corby

An on-call bus service began operating in Corby, Northamptonshire, this week in the latest phase of reforms to the town's public transport. The Corby Star service, launched by transport minister Tony McNulty, is backed by £500,000 from the government's urban bus challenge fund. Passengers will be able to book a seat and arrange a time to be picked up by one of two low-floored buses.
