IN BRIEF: Death of Sean O'Grady, former chief planning officer, Strafford-on-Avon District Council

Sean O'Grady, former chief planning officer at Stratford-on-Avon District Council, died this week aged 51 following a battle with motor neurone disease. O'Grady joined Stratford in 1978 and retired in 2001, on either side of a stint at New Forest District Council. He was a regular contributor to Tripwire, the magazine of the RTPI West Midlands branch. He leaves a widow, Sarah.
