York City Football Club has pulled out of plans to relocate to Huntington Stadium after agreeing to continue playing its home fixtures at its Bootham Crescent ground for "the foreseeable future". The announcement follows a deal reached with Persimmon Homes and ground owner Bootham Crescent Holdings that allows the football club to remain at its current home. York City will withdraw its application to redevelop the Huntington site, which is used by York Wasps Rugby League Club and Nestle Rowntrees Athletics Club.
